MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTORS
The Zen Masters, Inc. Martial Arts Instruction team oversees the martial arts classes conducted at the studio. Under their instruction, students will learn the tenants of martial arts practice from practitioners that are well versed in the art. The studio's instructors have also studied the styles of Hapkido, Judo, Jujitsu, and Arnis, which they incorporate in their martial arts teaching.
Master Dennis Chambers
CEO / Lead Martial Artist
Master Dennis is an 8th degree black belt with over 30 years of experience in numerous martial arts styles. He has served over 1,000 students utilizing Zen’s principles. He has two Masters degrees and an ED.d from Columbia University’s Teachers College, where he focused on the nature of learning and development. In 2004, he and his wife Sharon Chambers were inspired to start their own Tae Kwon Do studio, Zen Masters, in St. Albans, Queens.
Katryn Ganpat
Assistant Manager
Ms. Ganpat started at Zen Masters, Inc. in 2005, since then she’s grown to be an essential part of the organization. Ms. Ganpat plays a hybrid role, vital to the office operations and the dojang (Tae Kwon Do training space). As Assistant Manager she maintains the office, assists the Director Mrs. Chambers, and helps manage personnel. She prides herself in the personal connection she makes with the children and their families. She truly values everything she’s learned under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Chambers.
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
The Zen Masters, Inc. administrative staff oversees the operational functions of the martial arts studio. This staff: 1) maintains class scheduling, 2) implements marketing and sales strategies, 3) organizes studio payments and collections, 4) provides hiring and training opportunities, and 5) creates parties and community events, among many other organizational activities. Sharon Chambers
Vice President / Director
Mrs. Chambers oversees the business operations of the school as Zen Masters’ Director. She is seasoned in Business Management having worked with multiple Fortune 500 corporations. She earned her Masters at Teachers College, Columbia University in Social Organizational Psychology, and has a passion for business development. One of her many passions is hiring and staff development for college and high school students city-wide.
Careena Outar
Office Assistant
Miss Careena serves as our dependable office assistant, managing administrative tasks with precision and efficiency. Her responsibilities include organizing schedules, handling correspondence, and maintaining office supplies. Miss Careena ensures smooth daily operations by greeting visitors warmly and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members. She adeptly manages incoming calls and emails, providing timely responses and assistance as needed. Miss Careena plays a pivotal role in supporting the team and maintaining a well-organized workspace.
